Since the Rogue can move 14 spaces at a time, simply hold back your other striking troops giving your Rogues a chance to become a threat. When the Rogue gets hit, it transforms into one of the “other” troop types you have on the battlefield (at full strength) and it is much closer to the enemy!

In that age I had a few main combos I used: Hovers + Rogues - definitely still viable. 8 Turturrets - the splash damage is great against a lot of units, but be careful against eels and hidden units (and flying, of course) 2 Plasma/Tur, 2 Subs, 4 Rogues - good manual fighting combo for a lot of GE fights. Arc goods are cheap for anyone in Future Era. If your guild is helpful, someone will be able to just hand you the goods for free. Trade them 1 Iron Age good for 2 Future goods, and you’ll only need a few hundred iron (or whatever) to build your Arc. Some negotiations in the Continent Map around that age (inlcuding the bonus Provinces) will also require a mix of them, if you'd rather negotiate than fight.
