The Ancient Tunnels (Lost City, Act 2) has the same level monsters as The Pit. One key difference between the two is that The Ancient Tunnels does not have any naturally spawning cold immune monsters. That means the only monsters your merc will have to deal with himself are cold enchanted monsters (or some silly combination of spectral hit, etc.).
Category: There are three difficulty levels in Diablo II; Normal, Nightmare, and Hell. The difficulty levels are essentially identical; characters replay the same acts and quests on each. The difference comes from increased monster hit points and damage, some changes in monster variety and skills, and heaps of new, higher level equipment.
That will work. You can socket it, then add a Zod rune to it, making it Indestructible. However, Peasant Crowns are (relatively) dirt-cheap and common, and Zod runes are extremely rare, unless you trade for one.
Explopyro 15 years ago #2. The monsters gain 50% additional base HP for each player in the game, so players 8 gives enemies with an additional 350% life, or 4.5 times their base life. I'm not sure how the experience scales, but I don't believe it's linear. As far as I know it doesn't affect their damage/resistances/etc.
PD2 is a mod for Diablo II: Lord of Destruction which includes many quality-of-life and balance changes, along with some new content. It aims to maintain the D2:LoD experience while improving on the game as if development never ceased. PD2 offers increased build diversity as well as many other improvements over the vanilla game.

Diablo 2 runs at 25 frames a second and each action taken has a specific frame length. If you increase your IAS% past certain breakpoints your attacks will take less frames to complete. The goal here is to reach as many breakpoints as you possibly can without sacrificing your mercenary's other stats.
